Small issue I encountered. I re-entered a city job with many job points saved up. I promoted several times in a row. The new specials unlocked did not become enabled until I refreshed the page (or left and came back I assume).

You can get multiple promotions in a row if you meet the requirements, this is not an issue.

I suppose we can check with Joe about the specials being unlocked after you get promoted. As per the OP, you need a page refresh to be able to see the special that you have unlocked after promotion. Not sure if a page refresh is required or if it promotion itself should cause the unlocked specials to show up.

Upon promotions in city jobs, the newly available specials should be instantly appearing. Perhaps I can ask a developer to check on this, hopefully it's a simple fix! Thanks.

Correct the multiple promotions wasn't the issue, just the greyed out special which should have been enabled. Simple refresh fixed the issue.

Live pages is the reason Torn has so many issues during events, people have opened 10-30 pages of profiles, a shame even those are updated live... Having all pages display the same info until you refresh would be an improvement on server load, as well as causing fewer client crashes of all those 30 pages per user... Please do not fix this.
