What is the current maximum of items we can hold in inventory? At what point is a warning issued? (Asking for a friend. Really!)

The inventory size was being limited to 100,000 items, announced 3 months ago by Chedburn.

You can only obtain each book once, as soon as you start reading a book you're given an un-readable copy of it. The "Memories And Mammaries" book allows you to repeat the effects of the last book you read.
