That's not quite what happens IRL though. New shares of a company are typically added either via stock splits (twice as many shares each with half the value, which results in no net change to value held by investors), or from a company issuing more equity via secondary offering (more of the company's value is made available for purchase via additional shares, which has only minor, temporary impact on the existing stock values in circulation as the offering will be priced near market value).
If the stock bot is only ever buying/selling in roughly symmetrical amounts then it shouldn't affect prices significantly. It is essentially trying to provide liquidity like a market maker would.
The bigger problem it seems is that stock valuation is pretty much solely dependent on richer players trying to buy low/sell high, and/or demand from buy&hold players (for BBs). IRL stock values are driven also by analysis/speculation on the future value of a company, where opinions may differ thus generating liquidity and price fluctuation. It seems that the current system tried to do that in a very nominal way, but didn't get it right. Perhaps something that will be addressed in Stocks 3.0??

Actually, the first 16k above should have been 8k and minasanachae can't post twice in a row, so Freenlancet's should have been 16k and Crowspot's 32k.
