FAQ's regarding RESPO.
(constanstly updating)
What happened to the bbcode?
Torn no longer uses bbcode and instead runs off a much more stable way of formatting. By clicking the 'A' located on the top-right hand corner of the text box when writing you are able to access everything you need. This includes emotions, bold, inserting images, URL's and indents.
What is karma?
Karma is the new 'forum score'. You gain +1 karma when someone positively rates a comment or topic you have made. Likewise, losing 1 karma when someone negatively rates your comment or topic. Karma can not go below 0.
What is the green bar relating to karma?
It represents the ratio of postive:negative rates you have received. The greater the green bar, the greater percentage of positive votes you have received.
What happens if I subscribe to a thread?
You simply receive notifications on the right hand side of the forums, whenever someone posts in that thread.
What's happened to all of the missions?
Right now, we only have the new player missions available to us. We expect to see new missions arise as time goes on. These will be brand new missions with all of the old one's gone.
How do I find items in the city?
Unlike before, you will now see an item appear on the city map and be required to actually click the item to 'find' it. These can be present anywhere in the city (on top of buildings, within streets). You may want to zoom in further to increase chances of spotting these items.
Does awareness still have effect on finding items?
Awareness increases not only the rate of spawn, but also the quality of items spawned. The merits alone will increase results by up to 70%.
Why do I have loads of weapons in my items?
Weapons no longer stack, each and every individual item will display separately.
Where has weapon experience gone?
Weapon experience has currently been disbaled during the initial foundation of RESPO - it will return.
How often is the Hall of Fame updated?
Every minute.
