After several admins and staff left in one day, a General Discussion thread asked who would replace Marc. It filled with mock election campaigns, faction jabs and speculation about Midknight.

In August 2016 MarlonBrando [1337797] said JFA had downvoted their posts and asked what AOW should do. Replies included jokes and criticism, and an officer commented. The thread was locked the next day.

In September 2017 a thread defending players who joined the Pink Power Elimination team became a fight over committee members and a claimed loophole, with admin bogie calling the move clever.

In June 2017 Kata opened a week-long contest for new players in a Fun & Games thread, with donator packs as prizes. The thread drew 414 replies and was cited by later new-player competitions.

In March 2018 DUDE posted that PT, TDT and JFK had allied against Relentless's chain. The thread drew 291 replies, a PT member's account of the territory dispute, staff comments and a lot of insults.
Jan–May 2017 · Arguments
In January 2017 a feedback thread on faction upgrades became an argument over whether co-leaders should assign them. Chedburn said leaders only. A dispute over the Vulpes faction ran alongside.

In September 2016 Admin -Clansdancer [65306] said they and Hydro would leave at the end of March 2017, named Marc [24377] as staff manager, and got farewells, jokes and one brush-off.

On 22 Sep 2026 Zedrow posted a dirty bomb warning on behalf of Atari. Replies mostly went after TDT leadership over a mugging dispute. A moderator graved the thread after the opening post was deleted.

A General Discussion thread from 23 June 2014 collected first finds, zoom tips and complaints about the new system of picking up items on the city map. It stayed in use as the reference thread for city finds.

In February 2017 Champion posted that Ghosty had self-fedded after leadership of Calc ended up with Xaviour. The thread drew staff, officers and a suggestion to change how leadership is transferred.

In April 2016 an admin tool removed karma gained in the Travel and Plushie threads. A General Discussion thread filled with complaints, support and replies from officers and an admin.

In September 2015 a General Discussion thread asked whether the Dog Tag competition was fair. An officer defended it, and developer Chedburn offered to remove an unnamed poster and their 47 tags, an offer Leafeh later described.

In June 2017 NuffleMurda called the leaders of much larger factions cowards for declaring war on a faction of level 3-5 players. Several players answered that they were filler targets for chains. A moderator replied too.

In April 2016 TheHoneyBadger started a thread mocking MarlonBrando and AOW over a war. It drew 217 replies, jokes from a Torn officer, and was bumped again in October.

A Graveyard-board thread from October 2016 framed a territory beta fight as SA, FTW and HIV against many factions. JFK members disputed it with attack counts, and officers joined the banter.
2018–2019 · Community
Hopslam opened Bar Torn City in Fun and Games in February 2018 with a large stock of beer. On 17 Oct 2018 they announced its end, and regulars posted farewells.
2016–2017 · Wars
A January 2016 faction war between Ðestructive Anomaly and JFA, with FTW help, began with a complaint about a cancelled war and guests. It ended in a JFA win and a long insult thread.
Jul 2018 · Faction drama
In July 2018 a mass message attributed to Hildegarde told Rise Above members to expect bounties and overseas hospitalizations over Kata. The Faction Discussion thread ran for a month.
Feb–Apr 2015 · Wars
In February 2015 SA fought PT and Wolfpack in a war with lopsided terms. The forum thread turned into an argument over bountied revivers and who was taking the loss badly.
2017–2018 · Funny incidents
On 14 Feb 2017 Duke [4] opened a \"charity\" thread with a contest for the worst Valentine's story. The thread drew over 200 replies, and a payment boycott and scam accusations followed.
2014–2020 · Old Torn
In November 2014 IIIlusionist [253384] opened a thread to list dirty bombs dropped since 2008. Players added entries from memory, and the thread was still being linked as a reference in 2016.
