Sorry if there was already a section that existed, but is there a way you can put a marriage section in the front page for players like me to be able to find an active significant other to play and marry?

Yeah ive tried that, but it just feels like there's gold diggers or scammers that are seeking to marry only.. it'd be nice to see active players that are seeking a partner to enhance the gameplay

That would be nice but I feel it would be a dream too far. Your best bet, I'd say is to play around in the forums for a while. Chat in global. Visit IRC and make friends. Then you'll come across more people. If we had a section on the forums or a link in the city of whatever, I fear it'd be used in exactly the same way as the section in the newspaper is. If you want a merit, your best bet in my opinion is to marry a noob- then hope they quit the game (or get fedded like my spouse). That way you're guaranteed a load of merits for just sticking around.
People in fed don't make very talkative spouses though.

The easiest way to implement this would be to add a user setting in the settings list for availability. User could check a box for available to marry, available for faction or available for company. Also an option for the user to display these settings on profile. The toggles would be SEARCHABLE on advanced search, so we could just locate people who are looking. And if you're not looking, you can uncheck the box.
