No you don't win on a kicker, you both had 7 high straights. You can't win on a kicker when using 5 cards as a winning hand.
As this is the second time you've posted a bug or issue when its not actually one, i suggest you read the rules to avoid more confusion.

To further clarify what Porny is saying. Poker is a 5 card game, your straight is your 5 cards... in order to have a kicker, that's a 6th card, which is not a card that can be in your hand at any time, so it doesn't count. If per say you both had the same 2 pair, then yes, a kicker would then come into play sense you have a 4 card hand + an extra card.
