Games are usually supposed to be exciting and give you some sense of challenge right. I love Torn. Especially after the Respo update. But whenever I log on I just don't have anything exciting to do except popping a xanax and seeing my stat increase by another million. How to you guys keep yourself motivated to coming back to this game again and again? What do you look forward to whenever you log on. Please share so that I can make my TORN life a little less miserable and boring.

Perhaps see your current actions as 'training' for what's coming.
Yeah, I agree that it's not "exciting" at the moment and I also agree with Ched, as that's basically what I've been doing. The downtime has been great to get some merits I didn't have yet, finally train my stats to a less embarassing figure for my level and take a step back as the bugs are being fixed, instead of getting too annoyed.
I am however looking forward to the more exciting aspects of Torn coming back, especially in regards to attacking, but the mention of a new crime system sounds intriguing too.
So yeah, I'm using the time to train and get myself prepped for the further changes to Torn. And also have more time for things outside of Torn which is important too and my energy goes to those kind of things.
Thankfully I still have many achievements to reach, which I can do on a fairly steady basis. Maybe if more were added for more advanced players, that'd add incentive to log in and perform some actions?

Maybe log on less til they add something of value to you that keeps your interest better?
Either way, I wouldn't continue to do something if it makes you miserable. If you do, then the only person to blame for being miserable would be yourself

Want add some 'spice' to the game and make it more exciting?
Use your other hand to operate the mouse.
Apart from that, maybe wait for more updates.[:wink:]

That's because you are a cantankerous old fart that keeps going on rants and calling them idiots, granted they are idiots but no one likes it when it's pointed out to them lol
The forums are an unused resourceby most people, I had a 3 year ban and all I wanted was to get to post and talk to my friends again, a lot of you take it for granted but no mess when access is taken away that's when the game becomes reallyboring. If you want excitement make friends on the forums, the game changes when the reason you log on isn't to train or commit crimes it's to chat to your mates. If I got another forum ban (which for me would be permanent)I'd probably (well definitely) quit the game because it is no fun if I can't talk to and slag off all my friends I have made. I could probably list 500 people on here who I would consider friendsjust from just posting on the forums and talking to them. Sometimes honestlya lot of you don't see the wood for the trees
