And you only gain points through 'Official Races'
1st place = 3 points
2nd place = 2 points
3rd place = 1 points
4/5/6th = no points
It is total earned, so it does not matter if youuse them or not. It is best to only upgrade your car up to the point you start regularly coming 2nd and 3rd (once every 3 races), the later classes are harder to win so save your points for them.
