Same IP found

So i was just wondering if theres anyway to fix that in a situation, not against game regulations because I recently got my dorm mate to start playing torn but can't do anything with him because of the same ip found i can prove its not two accounts i just want to know if anyone can help me and my roommate out within the game rules, thank you

Probably not, there's no way of them actually knowing you aren't just making another multi account, not saying you are, but the powers that be say so

Nope, from all I've read here, you can't bypass it. Having the same IP basically means you can both play and be full torn players, but you may not interact with each other in certain ways.

MadameButterfly knows the things to watch out for so you don't get fedded. Mind you not how to bypass this rule, but how not to break it. Drop her a quick message, as she's been playing for years with her partner on the same IP without breaking the rules, if you want to be safe.

I've been playing with my girlfriend on the same ip for a year, we've never got into trouble, but we've never tried to send each other anything, so like daphne said, it's better to ask and be safe than sorry

My brother and I used to live together and even 6 months later I STILL can't attack him. (Wondering if all of the AT&T Wifi hotspots have the same IP, we use different cell carriers and everything...) I think so long as you do not send him anything (including through middlemen, a faction, etc.) or try to profit in any way from each other you're good. If it's blocked (busting, attacking, item market purchases, points, etc.) don't try to get around it in any way and you should be good.

He mailed me and I explained it so thanks Daphne, for anyone else who is interested in the can's and can not's of the ip block here they are.

Marriage:
1. You can marry and live in the same house but ownership of the property can not be exchanged between both accounts

Factions:
1. You can be in the same faction but if you own it they can not have access to the bank nor can you send cash to them from the bank nor can they donate to the faction (all this would be regarded as using the faction as a middleman).
2. You can loan them items from the armory but not give them to them (they must remain property of the faction),
3. They can have access to use medical items directly from the faction.
4. Faction point refils are a bit of a grey area as are boosters. Basically if something expensive does not remain the property of the faction and will benefit their account in any way then chances are it's against the rules to let them have access to them.

Companies:
1. If you own a company they can work for you and you can pay them a wage but they must be on the same pay structure as all your other employees. i.e. you can't pay them 1mil a day if everyone else is on 100k a day
2. If you own a company and they are your only employee don't try use that to break the above rule, staff will know pretty quickly if you are using the company to transfer cash between accounts.
3. You can not train them more than your other employees, again this will be seen as illegally benefiting "your other account"

Miscellaneous: (as long as your IPs clash)
1. You can't send each other items
2. You can't send each other cash not even $1, the amount is irrelevant.
3. You can't revive each other
4. You can't bust or bail each other
5. You can't attack each other not even if you're in separate factions and are at war.
6. You can't buy each others Points, items, property from the markets nor can you bid on each others auctions.
7. You can't ask someone else to pass money between both accounts, doing this is called "middle-manning" and will get all 3 accounts fedded.
8. You can't log on to each others accounts and train or commit crimes for each other, this is classed as account sharing.

The thing to remember is that staff have a zero tolerance policy on IP block evasion. They don't care how long you have been playing, they don't care if you are willing to show pictures of you and your brother/sister/roommate holding your ID numbers, they don't care how much TC cash you have as soon as you evade the IP block thats it. They have never, to my knowledge anyway, reversed a decision once someone is fedded for it but saying that they also enforce it across the board, no one is immune from it. Myself and Jenocide (my TC wife) have been here years and they know we are different people (or are pretty sure at least) but if I was to send Jen even $1 thats it, I would be fedded for a few weeks and Jens account would be deleted (because they delete the youngest account).

I know of another case where 2 brothers were playing for years and one of them was one of the riches people on the game (about 300 bil or so) and one day he went flying to rehab and forgot to bring money so asked his brother to send it from the faction they shared and that was it, the brother sent him 100 mil and both were in fed before he landed back in Torn, his account was deleted as the youngest and when his brother got out of fed a few weeks later all he was left with was 100mil in the faction bank and was told basically that he should think himself lucky.

Basically it's not worth even trying guys trust me they always find out.
