Sounds like you are having a hard time of it. Perhaps introducing user controls in the settings page or on the casino page:

1) Maximum amount to gamble this week / month

AND / OR

2) Maximum days to ban yourself

Perhaps have a confirmation stage like the bank - once it's done, it's done. Until the set period ends

EDIT: With the obvious option of ignoring the safeguards completely for those not interested

I've seen this type of post/suggestion before. Why does the game need to introduce a feature to prevent you from blowing all your money in the casino. As bogie mentioned, the only way to stop yourself from gambling is self control. Think of the many hours you invested into making that cash and don't blow it all in a moment of madness.

Perhaps if you are struggling to control your gambling, lower the amount you are betting, play safer bets (in the bookies) or as you place some money down already expect it to be lost. Mentally, you must change your approach. The casino was put there by ched as a money sink, to take cash out of the game, so the likelihood of this suggestion being implemented is the same as Miley Cyrus keeping her clothes on...

Haha, no- that was a joke.

My twin brother is awful with gambling. Money (real life money) loses its value for him while he's playing whatever games in a real casino and he's landed himself in a lot of debt in the past. I, on the other hand, am terrified of having worked hard for money and losing it on a stupid game.

Any addiction takes will power to overcome and Torn could genuinely be a good way to prove to yourself that you can in fact control your actions. At the end of the day though, it's much better to relapse on Torn than in real life. If we're honest, if you won billions of TC$ through gambling, you'd probably be tempted to try to emulate that in real life. Losing all your money on here should serve as a good lesson for the real world.

I don't like this idea, as in real life it's up to the individual to show self restraint. Nobody forces you to enter the casino, you do so knowing all the risks. If you were allowed to have a house tab, then fine i'd agree once your debt reached a certain limit, then you'd be banned from the casino, but as we don't, i don't agree.

As horrible as my luck and addiction is to the casino. I don't want 'the TC man' controlling my actions. When I feel lucky, I wanna take out my monies, let it all ride on black and feel the sting in the morning...then rage quit for a few months and come back a broke noob to a changed torn city #basedoffatruestory
