So Epiphany Thread Has Anyone Here Ever Had One? meaning -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epiphany_%28feeling%29 So just tonight i chilled out (as always) but next thing i know i stuck a thought on a subject i have contemplated on for a very long time and all of a suddenly it started to make sense so i started to contemplated on other subjects and guess what? they made sense to! so my flights are booked for next monday the 8th and i start my new life in a new country (:
this happens to me too, but just cause they make sense to you dosnt mean they actually make sense... i like to talk them out with a trusted friend before i go blurting them out as truth, fact or what not.. once i thought i was the second coming and boy, if i woulda started preaching that... ;)
its not a frequency with me, i have disgusted this with my family and they have booked my flight to canada. im a chef but there's not a lot of work right now in my city so my best option is to just get out of here i have family in canada and my uncles a chef so the day i land i start working. Also dont worry i always cum twice hahah :P
I don't suppose your epiphany included applying for a work permit?
An epiphany is no replacement for planning. And what you're describing sounds more like a spontaneous ill-conceived flight from reality than anything else. Family or no, you're moving to a different country and starting off right away by working illegally (for which, nota benne, deportation is often the price to be paid, which prevents future re-entry).
My suggestion is to visit first and plan, and work later once you have the right permit etc.
Besides, there's plenty of Chef's in Canada (The positions are competitive, low paying, and require credentials, so it's a tight knit and merciless bunch) who will be only to happy to rat you out to immigration for scooping jobs from the people who legally live and work here. Then, as the song goes, yer f**ked.
Let your epiphany be that better planning is in order >.<
You guys should stop worrying about the OP. If you have, say, a British passport, you don't need a visa to go to Canada. You need a work permit if you want to work there but the OP said that his uncle's a chef so I'm assuming he'll be able to sort out his work permit. If the OP is British, the work permit can be acquired when he's in Canada. I don't know what the rules are about non British citizens.
I had an epiphany some time last year. Started off strong on my plan of action but lost momentum after a while.
funny shit. i bout snorted milk out my nose when i read that.

http://targetjobs.co.uk/careers-advice/working-abroad/346198-working-in-canadaScroll down to the bit about Visa information. His uncle wouldn't have agreed to have him there if he didn't know what he's doing. I looked into it a long time ago too and read about British people getting their work permits while already in Canada.
I hope everything turns out alright for you... Best wishes...

nope. Have to do it at the port of entry for specific careers only, of which chef isn't one. Now, if he's an ironworker from Ireland....
But yeah.
