Jeb Bush just announced that he is "actively exploring the possibility of running for President".
Thoughts/opinions on this?
What we don't need is another Bush or Clinton in the White House.
No thanks.
Gary Johnson for President.
told ya.
hopefully people will judge him on his qualifications and not his name. im not saying we should vote him in, im saying we should take a real look at him beyond his family. if people don't like what they see, that's fine. condemning someone because of their relatives is silly imo.
Giving them the chance to have run for one of the most powerful positions in the world because of their name is silly imo. Nepotism through and through.
Seriously doubt there is any "nepotism" involved here. Jeb Bush been elected Governor of Florida twice. Nepotism doesn't vote. Jeb Bush is light years ahead in experience at running a level of government than Barry Obama was when he was elected or of any viable Democrat in politics today.
there is more to him than his name, and im not saying let him run just because of his name. we need to look at the candidates qualifications and judge them based on that. not who their daddy is or who their husband is. is all im saying.
I say no to Bush , Clinton , Obama and Kennedy dynasties those familes have done so much damage already , someone like Trey Gowdy would be better .
Tolshortte, as usual you make a very rational argument, but I am going to have to disagree. Just the name "Bush" will bring so much baggage to the job, that it will negate nearly all the positives that Jeb may possess... same goes for Hillary imho, but then I am old enough to remember the Clinton years, and the last thing I want to do is see Bill all the friggin' time again on the TV.
Time for fresh blood in my opinion.
again, it depends on what they bring to the table. im all for fresh blood, but to bring in fresh blood just for the sake of it solves nothing. no matter who gets in if they actually make the country better and move us forward all that other bs will be left in the dust. this holds true for Jeb, Hilary, or someone we have never really heard of nationally.
now I know it isn't going to happen because the majority of americans are just flat out too lazy to research their candidates thoroughly and vote people in based on whats popular atm. we need someone, anyone, with real skill and a solid plan that has the strength to push through the resistance that will undoubtedly be met and remind America that it takes effort and determination to be great, not just one liner mottos.
I like the fact that there is 20 or 25 Republicans thinking about running for President - including several`sitting and past Governors - as opposed to electing a person with absolutely no Government experience.... ie .... the community organizer - Barry Obama (we all know how that turns out) OR electing someone because they think they are entitled to the position ... ie .. Hillary Clinton. Clinton has about as much experience as Barry did when he was elected but where Barry was ignorant as to managing anything - Clinton is corrupt and dishonest.
Not that it matters but if the Democrats want to even have a chance of winning the White House in 2016 - they need to nominate someone other than Hillary Clinton.
No. Just, no.
Jeb bush if elected would be a very moderate pres. Hes not extreme an extreme republican. If people actually looked at what he has done instead of just his name more would like him but most american people are stupid
that's what ive said all along. now ive just skimmed through his resume so to speak, but he is definitely more moderate than we have seen in a while. some people will only vote democrat because they are brain washed into believing all pubs are evil corporate drones. not sure how painting people with a wide brush is so socially unacceptable yet its ok when it serves them.
Bush or clinton looks like exactly what you're gonna get unfortunately
sadly, you may be right.
first not a shock this guy portrays a Bush this way. lets be real, he much like the radio shows people complain about for the other side.
however, we don't need more military spending and surely don't need mass surveillance. if anything that money should be spent to rebuild our infrastructure which will create more jobs which will give the working class leverage in negotiations for benefits. yet to do that, people would have to realize that some rich people are going to get paid to get that done. sadly, politics will most likely decide who gets those contracts if we ever get around to doing it.
as far as the ISIS thing goes, who cares? its not like either side is different. both want to waste more American lives and money fighting a small portion of the world that doesn't affect us. not our problem. let those over there deal with it. it sucks people are suffering, not our problem though. we cant end the world's suffering and we shouldn't try until we end the suffering here first. if places like Chicago are such a mess and people are dying on the daily, then lets spend our money and effort there.
It is too early to tell... way too early.
Im curious why Jeb is even being considered with him helping his brother steal the 2000 election???? When you look up all he had done during the voter process in Florida it was unbelievable how the supreme court ruled George Bush still "won."

After the Florida Supreme court ruled in Bushes favor you mean, and then the Supreme Court upheld it... two courts.
Ancient history. Get over it. Al Gore was a putz anyway... living in his mansion with his giant carbon footprint, while telling others to reduce theirs. Total double standard elitist douche.
