Havent played in a while but i would like to know if doing busts still improves crime exp and also what determines a company's ability to gain stars? Profit, customers, effectiveness?

Havent played in a while but i would like to know if doing busts still improves crime exp and also what determines a company's ability to gain stars? Profit, customers, effectiveness?
Busts still give crime xp, but not as much as they used to. Busting used to give you a % of your crime experience back, which made it extremely good for gaining big experience amounts.
Nowadays busting gives a set amount of experience (This is increased depending on difficulty of the bust, you'll gain more xp by busting people consecutively, or by busting high levels or people in for a long time). But generally it's advised, even from Ched, that if you want crime exp these days the best way to get it is from crimes.
Company rank is determined by profit currently. Star ratings have set amounts of $ needed to be earned before their star rating will increase. This system will be changing soon though, it will be up to 10 stars and the system will be dynamic (you can go up or down), this will be based off of your levels of profit relative to the other companies, (e.g. the top 10% will be 10 star, bottom 10% will be 1 star... and everything in between)
