I want to upgrade a class B car.
Should i apply all the upgrades that are available? (e.g. aerodynamics 21 points for upgrades, brakes 49 points for brakes etc)
Also what about Transmission? I can apply 28 points for the first upgrades and then choose one of the short-long ratios?
And should i invest 6 points for the Fuel?
I'd worry more about saving points for a class A car. You really need them when you get to class A.
The only way I'd do max upgrades to a class B car would be if I was using a Cosworth, simply because it's still the best car for mudpit when you reach class A. Any other class B car essentially becomes useless when you reach A class, and if you have few points to upgrade an A class car, it leaves you in a rough spot.
I'm traveling, or I'd look up how many points I spent on my B class car. I did some upgrades, but it's far from fully upgraded, because I tried to save enough points that I'd be close to having enough to max out an A class car when I moved up.
Yes for class B I think you need to pick one car and apply the minimum upgrades to get some regular top 3 places. I hardly spent any points on class D or C, spent about 120 on class B and saved the rest for class A. Definitely not worth fully upgrading a class B car. I only spent 10-14 days at class B before having enough points for class A

One car, and only upgrade till you can consistently place Top 3. By consistently I mean every third race or so. In order to not hit a brick wall when you get to Class A, you need to be patient and stingy with your points beforehand.
yes i understand that safekeeping points for class A is the best, but i have noticed something really strange.
i lose with any class B car (5th or 6th place) and in the Mudpit race i choose Subaru and have won 2 out of 3 races!
no upgrades at any class B car yet, driving skill 6.09.
isn't that a bit strange? as you say the best car for Mudpit is still Cosworth (even from A class cars).
You can't expect to win without any upgrades.
As for the Subaru... it's still better than Class A cars for Mudpit because of it's inherent compatibility with dirt.
