Net Worth is the total money that has been received from crimes (like search the cash would add $10 or whatever to networth)

then whatever you sell to the shops , that money also adds to networth (so selling a flamethrower would add $2,500,000)

The key is to buy stuff under or equal to the shop sell value and flip it. This will add to your networth. You may even make some profit while doing so.

If you are really wealthy, you could also accept a loss on whatever you are flipping (jackhammers, flamethrowers, grenades etc.). I would, however, not recommend this strategy unless you really don't know what else to do with your cash.

I am taking this info from tcbasic:

Things that DON'T Contribute to Networth
  • Money received from other players
  • Money received from Missions
  • Money made while Hunting
  • Money made by Mugging other players
  • Money gained from the Casino
  • Money made from Bounties
  • Buying/ Selling/ Trading/ Renting Houses
  • Selling Ammunition
  • Selling items in the Auction House
  • Selling items in the Item Market
  • Selling points in the Pawn Shop
  • Trading on the Point market
  • Bank Interest/ Money in the Bank
  • Lottery wins
  • Company Earnings
  • Faction Organised Crimes
  • RR bet wins
  • Trading in the Stock Market
  • Selling/ Buying from Bazaars
  • Blackjack
  • Travelling
Things that Contribute to Networth
  • Money gained from crimes
  • Selling items from your inventory
  • Donator Packs sold in the Pawn Shop
  • Selling items to shops
I did increase my networth by buying flamethrowers and selling them back to torn from inventory

That is horrible advice considering the cost of the suitcase.

To get to 1 mil networth, I would just browse the item market for some cars that are selling for close to the city buy price.

And just for the record, Combat Gloves give a greater return than Flamethrowers.

Gotta love it when stupid people take stuff out of context or misunderstand something and then call other people stupid. Who said it was advice or a recommendation? It was an answer to his question.

Did I at any point say buy one to sell it?

NikolaTesla [1631174]

This game is full of players to whom such an item is worthless.

I was given a few myself and have sold at least one to the shops. I gave another to someone else to sell to get their first networth merit.

It is possible to take what I said and use it as advice to no real detriment anyway.

I wasn't even doing that though, I was just answering his question and giving an example of something that was worth a million.

Apparently that makes me bad. I apologise.

Wow, why Nikolai's advice is dumber than other? :o Only difference is how much $$ you are willing to sacrifice to get this networth...

You want networth easy way? Get lucky or just accept bigger/smaller $$ loss on transaction. If you can find items below shop sell price on markets/bazaars -> sell them to system (and you in fact profit a bit - truth is you would still get better deal selling it further in own bazaar [find 1$ beer, sell it easily for 100$ in own bazaar instead of selling it back to system] ) JJ pointed the most effective way of getting those networth awards, still you do loose $$ on it (your loss can be somehow defined as damnum emergens and lucrum cessans -> beacuse of selling item back to system you loose the difference between price you bought it but also money you could make selling it on bazaar market)

Want networth without loosing too much money? Or to say better without lucrum cessans? Keep doing crimes, all goods aquired this way sell back to system. Similar with goods aquired cheaper than selling back to system price. This way you gain items "cost-free" still you do loose your potential gain (so if you sell goods on bazaar bit higher than system sell price)

Depends on how badly you need that award - in both ways, you can say you loose, but 1st solution is bit faster.
