Other than to get married, what is the church good for? Like, what does praying do or donating?

Other than to get married, what is the church good for? Like, what does praying do or donating?
Donating appears to be worthless at this time.
Praying can get you an honour (Forgiven) if you pray at least once a day for 10 days or so.
Marriage and praying (10 day-ish) (Both could lead to easy merits).
Other than that, nothing. My advice, don't donate to the church. Ever. If ur going to do that anyway, ur better off giving it away in forum. That, or let someone mug u

with all the direct or discreet criticism, cynicism and much more... I really have to appreciate how Ched keeps his cool.
