So I feel like this has been changed several times over the years but does anyone know (roughly) the current formula for what determines how much respect a given attack gets you?
Specifically I'm curious about how player levels work. I feel like at one point it was the difference between attacker and defender level, and then I feel like it was just defender level. Anyone have more of an idea?
All the wiki says is: "The respect gained from any particular hit against a faction depends on a number of factors including level, stats and length of the chain."
What wiki said is your answer ...the higher the level of your opponent the more you will gain especially the higher the chain is
Right, but does my level come into play? Like I know I get more from a level 50 opponent than a level 25. But does someone in my faction get the same respect gain if it's like the 6th hit as I do if we're not the same level?
The higher in lvl the opponent is compared to you, the more respect you claim. The longer you are in a chain, the more respect you can claim.
A lvl 15 beating a lvl 50 as the 6th hit in a chain will gain more respect than a lvl 25 beating a lvl 50 as the 6th hit. Beating someone with a lower lvl than yourself will net you less respect.
Okay, cool. That's what I was thinking but then for some reason I felt like they had changed it although I wasn't sure to what.
Any idea if it's purely a function of difference? Like does a 50 beating a 60 get more than a 30 beating a 40?
That I honestly dont know. Respect gains in wars are a kinda smart system, so it could be a % wise sort of effect. (lvl 20 beating lvl 30 is a 50% upbeat where a lvl 50 beating a lvl 60 is only a 12.5% upbeat compared to own lvl).
Perhaps someone with that knowledge stumbles into this thread.
What are Chains. Can anyone explain to me what they are?
