But you don't want to get to say 50+ without having > 10 million total stats. 10 million even seems a bit on the low side for a level 50... But make sure you don't have a glaring weakness when you level up. Like now with the old attacking system most players whored speed and strength leaving behind dexterity and defense. I have yet to completely rectify my Dexterity and defense (although both are > 50 million). My defense isn't so bad as it used to be but relative to my age it is terrible.
Advantages: - More life; - Rank triggers; - Merits.
Disadvantages: - If you don't train your stats accordingly you'll be weak compared to your level and an easy target for powerleveling; - Not as easy to keep a low profile; - Less likely for others to underestimate you allowing you to get free defends.

Agreed the new system favours balanced stats. And previous game choices will have an effect (power leveling etc), but this route has always had an effect to be honest (attacking to power level = punch bag, gym use = beast albeit lower level) - balance required as well?
The problem is at what point do you think you need to level hold to build up your stats to ensure that you can ?
With attacking 2.0 and the way it works having twice has many of a stat doesn't reflect in being twice as 'powerful' per se.
Plus throw in a players education perks, merits, drug addiction etc and you've got a whole different set of figures. Especially with the intro of med 2.0 and alteration of life.
In the level 15-90 range, unless you have spectacularly bad stats you won't be used at a level target. Especially if you level 'naturally'. The more life and merits simply makes you a stronger player, with no real downsides.
Or gain level exp solely thru training and crimes then when you're lv 15 you are way ahead of the game...Power leveling imo is not a good strato but I can understand the frustration of not being able to travel so its ultimately the players choice but I reccomend train train train and you'll get there eventually :)
dem logarithmic curvesss. in fact, as you significantly increase your stats, you will see a much less increase in your power. Of course this means that a 35% loss of you stats while on xanax is also much less.
That being said, do you get respect for attacks in a faction based on level or stats? because if it's level, that would be a very enticing reason to level hold, assuming you don't generally get into long drawn out fights.
Eh there are means to make your stats a whole lot better when you are lower in level. I know a trick that could let them have more stats in 5 days than 1 year of playing torn inactively.

(I'm still have nightmares about dem dayum log curves - See my Excel sheets!)
Perhaps respect is linked partly to level, but when you're talking about the odd additional point compared to that additional life you have whilst warring (I reckon I've won more than I lost purely by having enough to see out a fight), I still don't think it's worth level holding imho.
Indeed having more life to a certain point helps more than a smaller level in warring. But that said holding at say 50, 60, 70, would help if you fight higher leveled players.
