Does anyone know of a decent help site for Inkscape?

Have never really got to grips with any image manip software. Am currently trying to designe a very simple logo which is need of text around a circle.

Have seen a couple of YouTube clips and have managed to get some text on the circle but can move it to the position I want it on the circle/

Then the next thing I can't do is get text on the bottom of the circle that isn't upside down.

If you can point me in the direction of a good help site for the simple problems above or even if you think there is a much easier way with different software could please drop me the links and/or advice here.

You might get an answer if you visit that wretched hive of scum and villainy that is Torn's Graphics forum.
