This might be a dumb question, but are the top factions basically just chaining all day? are there any high level factions that dont chain and just look for high level members or what?

This might be a dumb question, but are the top factions basically just chaining all day? are there any high level factions that dont chain and just look for high level members or what?
Most top tier factions chain for the ''fun'' of it.
Others war just to to the next faction upgrade. Then train, and go on for another upgrade.
Most factions aren't chaining all day, especially 'top' factions. Partly because it's expensive, people get tired and it takes a lot of energy. What factions will do is look for yes, high levelled members (and large stats) that are willing to chain when required. You won't be expected to war all the time, but when the call comes and a war is declared - it's all hands on deck. Don't be one of the lazy.
The Art of War (AOW) chains 24/7/365. 1,000+ wars, consistently for over 5 + years, most other HOF negotiate their wars, and terms.

In a good faction total stat gains should be more not less than playing solo. You can get an extra +10% to gym gains from your faction so it doesn't hurt you to give some energy to chaining if it is not more that 10%.

If you want to join a knitting circle faction you will have no problem finding one. Most of them wont have many faction upgrades though. We warred for a couple of years but we just got bored of doing it, its too boring.
AOW is HOF ,guess you will find out...when your faction loses...

You can't be a top faction without chaining. Chaining gains your faction "respect" which is used to trade for faction upgrades. A fully upgraded faction is worth billions!
