If roses killed you, the smell of a rose would be considered a bad smell. Colors exist because of the way different types of materials react to light.

There isn't any definite proof, considering modern/recordable science has only existed for a fraction of the time necessary to form a new species split. However, using a little imagination you can explain it.

As someone neatly posted before me, a mutant who develops a new cone can pick berries easier. This mutant is less likely to starve and more likely to reproduce.

This can also be applied to why the female and male genitalia work together so well. Let's suppose that for years it is difficult to reproduce, (perhaps one or both of the organs were hard to function) but it is done regardless because, well, life finds a way. A mutant arises and is easier to mate with. Long story short; who get's laid, the woman who's completely dry or the woman who is lubricated, even if only slightly?

Why are you people bringing religion into this? You can believe in both. It isn't a one or the other deal. I used to believe that perhaps God WAS the Big Bang or that he caused it.

What is stopping this God from masterminding evolution? Why not give your God the credit of such a genius process? Does it not make sense that as the world changes, so do the animals and plants on the surface? If you claim that God created the world perfect and cannot change to force adaptations, why is it? If God created everything perfect, why are certain species going extinct or have gone extinct? This isn't even about dinosaurs (since I know some choose to call hoax), this is about recent species going extinct.

If you want to believe in your God so badly, don't turn your back to science for the sake of a book written and rewritten countless times thousands of years ago.

You're holding science back by choosing to ignore it. Believe in a god all you want but don't be ignorant for the sake of belief.

Why do some people not believe - no, better said accept - the theory of evolution?

Proven on so many occasions ...

If you don't believe in evolution, what do you believe then?
That God, Allah or any other godlike creature created Earth? Dropped some people in it and has since then been hovering above our heads, high up in the sky? Or that everything is just mere coincidence?

A little example of evolution: people in Africa are black, because of the many hours the sun burns. People in Europe are much paler, because the sun doesn't burn as hot there. Still, all life 'evolved' from first men in the African region. See: EVOLUTION.

Off course you will reply that not all life evolved from African mankind. So, you would have me believe that 'someone' or some higher power put a black man in Africa and a pale one in Europe ...? How convenient :-) !!

Are you serious? Even if Evolution were a proven fact it still doesn't explain how the universe was created.

It doesn't negate the need for a God; a creator.

It isn't meant to. That would be a different theory entirely. Evolution concerns the changing of life forms, not the creation of the universe.

Besides, God or gods have been the excuse for ignorance since time began. Weather patterns were determined by gods until humans learned better, the other planets were literally other gods until humans learned better, sickness was probably determined by gods until humans learned better. This is why I refuse to accept a creator, because humans like to dump blame on a god until it's proven otherwise

1)Evolution is not incompatible with creationism. God could have created a simple world and created evolution as a natural process

2)All scientific tests have proven that evolution is real

3)You can certainly be skeptic of evolution and prove it false, for that you must study evolutionary biology in college, start research etc etc.
I am a chemical engineer, and if I say that in a given situation a particular kind of reactor is better than the other, will the non technical management ever bother to question my expertise? If they do, what will an outside observer call them?

I believe gypos stopped evolving some time ago. Science will prove me right.
