In order to attack someone, they have to be 10 levels lower , so if a player is level 25 they can attack players who are 15.

That doesn't apply to faction wars.

It's annoying to have level 32 player mugging me. :D
The-Puppeteer [1904928]

Do you mean as in player would hold their levels to avoid attacks?

Well if a level 15 player attacks a level 50 player, in a period of time the level 50 player is allowed to attack.

And the fact that it's part of the game doesn't exactly put it in a better position, it's still unfair.

People level hold atm to get free defends, level isn't necessarily an indication of stats. A 'lvl 15' could have better stats than maybe many lvl 80s and have just chosen not to level up, there's no reason they should have protection.

There's no reason even real lvl 15s should have protection. The whole point of the game is that it is over a long period of time- you train up your stats so that you can beat more people...

It's not unfair, people who have better stats than you have worked for it and probably played for longer than you, why should they not be able to then attack you?
The-Puppeteer [1904928]

The fact that they hold their levels to get new players to attack them and lose doesn't put my suggestion in a worst position, it's the player who fell for it anyways, and if you mean that a level 15 will want to fight high level player they can turn off their protection, or like said above they can attack them and recieve no protection against the attacked player for an amount of time.

So? I'm really active so i'm strong compared to players in the 3 - 23 range, not considering level holders like LH Oswald.

That's how the combat range works, someone is more active than me and works harder to gain stats and let's say they are level 16, they win fair and square because i'm too lazy to be active or their build just counter-attacked mine by turning on their brains and spying on my stats, now that's what i call fair and square!

not to mention if they mug me they would enjoy the money more than one of richest man in the game who just mugged me for god knows why.

Soo people who played longer, i mean by the day they joined not by activity can be the ones who make it unfair.

And yes i get, the level holders will kill the fun, but at least my suggestion will produce more positives than it will produce negatives.

Have you ever played GGE? it's basically like Torn, 4 empires torn by endless war and raids but even in such a game they added a limit, no lower than 15, they don't want a level 60 attacking a level 7.

Instead they want the level 7 to fight a level 10 and use their brain and power to win.

Hahaha
Don't use other game as an example.

Torn is Torn.
No Vote.

If you like that other game "system" then you should play them more.
Play for fun. *smiles*

No, it makes no sense that someone choosing to level hold should receive any kind of what is essentially 'newbie protection'.
Torn isn't GGE or like GGE, it's a text based game and it's a lot more longterm- levels aren't necessarily an indication of strength and levelling is not really the 'ultimate goal' or whatever, unlike in many other games.

There isn't 'strategy' in the actual torn attacking really it's just your stats (a bunch of numbers which you increase) vs theirs plus luck (crits).

Oh boy boy boy
The fun of levelholding is when someone who's 20+ levels and 2k days older attacks you and you beat him.

Your suggestion sounds more like moaning about muggers to me. Moaning about that is never smart in the forum nor in global chat.
It always attracts them.

About the restriction: no, no, just no. It's part of the game so get used to it.

The-Puppeteer [1904928]

Not really, i can rebuild the 10k they steal in seconds, but when i thought of the subject i came up with the suggestion.

Also to everyone who negatively/postively rated this, put a reason why you did that, it's not rocket science after all. :D
