How much important is it to have an inspector when you own an oil rig? Is it even worth it? Does it actually help or do anything positive to the company?
I am not sure about all of those questions i ask myself and i was hoping for some tips or opinions on the subject.
Thanks all for ur time

I wonder about that too. I had someone in that position and it didn't help. I would like to see what others say.
I have one but I don't see or feel that there is much of a difference. But i keep thinking that it must be there for a reason.
I agree CptKillBill..there has to be a reason for the position in the first place.
i used to have 21 members rig , the Inspector doesn 't make change to profits , i believe it used to give extra trains
so u don 't really need one esp. as the stats requirements for that position is very high and u pay high salary on it
2 drillers can make u good drilling nearly same to 3 drillers
secretary shows how much each member gets income for the company
it was shock to me when i upgraded from 18 members to 21 that was the reason i sold my Rig , i couldn 't set Barrels on same price i used to do before so i had to drop price too much and it was problem producing more Barrels to fill the STorage
which used to get emptied and profits to drop
I hope that info. helps all Rigs directors , wish u happy life
pls vote on my post , thanks in advance []
Hmm...that is interesting. I upgraded to 21 members and profits have not helped much.
One does not simply upgrade to 21 man and expect to make more income.
You have to change certain things to gain the extra profit which can now be made.
It works the same way as CNC stock. If you have the stock benefit you are able to make an extra 25%. The key words 'able to'. If you get the stock and then don't change anything, you will probably make a little more but not 25% more.
As for the inspector. The role of the inspector is to +1 extra train per day that they are in the company or set to that position. I personally wouldn't entertain an inspector at my oil rig. I get 9 trains per day at the moment and once I hit the 10 star ranks I will get 10. I have no real need for an extra 1 train per day. I would much rather have an extra sales person or another worth while employee set to a position which will benefit the company in terms of income.

Hope this helps all oil rig directors, wish you a happy life (lul)
@Seraphim: Don't ask for votes on posts - it will only lead to negative thumbs downs!
Smokey123, I actually did make changes. For example, I upgraded both my storage size and staff size room. Also played around with pricing. I played with advertisement a bit too but I heard that doesn't help much.
Of course it will help if you adjust prices and advertising. Those are the key things that actually do effect your income per day.
Ive changed mine drastically today to see what effect it has on the company.
Today we made $53million.
Ill let you know what I make tomorrow to compare. ;-)
Ive stuck with a 15 man rig. I figured to go up to 18 people will take about three years to pay for itself from looking at other rigs.
I don't think I will hit ten stars ever but I'm not overly bothered. I hire people with lower stats who use drugs and go inactive and nothing really seems to hit my profits.
I've not bothered with an inspector for ages...I seem to average 35m-40m clear profit in my pocket each day and with the wages some of the top rigs are paying, I reckon I'm probably earning more profit than the majority of people above me.
I tweak pricing and job roles occasionally but nothing seems to increase my profits further.
The interesting bit of this thread is the guy saying two drillers works fine. I might give that a whirl and have more roughnecks!
ROF rig is on target to make between 8 and 9 billion this year (net profit).
