From an announcement in the old forums in December 2013:

"A quick heads up - next year, with the release of Respo, I'm actually not sure what we're doing with Hallow Town and Christmas Town, we may not see them again for a while - but we have plans to recreate at least one of them at some point."

Maybe Christmas Town is more likely than Hallow Town.

Well 2014 was a bust, but fingers crossed for 2015!

I joined about a year back and heard a lot about halloween an x- mas towns but never got to see them.
What happens in this event?

Okay, but why?

Personally, I am against any sort of competition that puts the community against each other. It's none stop competitions that simply involve attacking each other all the time. How about some competitions that we can do as individuals or together as a community?

I personally love Halloween Town and Christmas Town. 2 of my favorite competitions.

World war and dog tagging was fun too. But I agree having attacking competitions close together is not the way to go... several months break would be good for these.

Miss the Hallow and Christmas Towns.
Yet still looking to see something new.

Because there's tons of free junk given out that can be sold on and the money forwarded to their main account.

Non-attacking competition concepts straight from Chedburn's private diary:

- Hot or Not Competition (Mr/Mrs Torn almost nudes), rewards: sadness and depression.

- United Nations Global Goals Competion (donate lots of money to see if global goals get achieved. Better than World War comp. Rewards: Empty Promises

- One Religion Comp - just donate money to the church until you can't afford a beer. Rewards: anger and resentment.

- Casino Comp - whoever wins the most money wins the comp. Rewards: Being called a cheater and having your winnings revoked.

- Gym Gain Competition. Bodybagger wins. Reward: Entire community hates Ched and Bodybagger. Ched aays F U, removes a trillion stats from Bodybagger and purposefully breaks the forum for a week so he doesn't have to listen to the moaning.

- Troll Comp. Get the most negative karma in the foruns. Karma allowed to go into the negative numbers. Reward: Largest enemy list in the game.

- Multi-Comp. Admit to being a multi and list all your accounts for staff to fed. Reward: Never be attacked again because 98% of torn is fedded.

- Hunting Competition. Everyone goes to South Africa to hunt but all end up mugging each other forever and ever. Rewards: Pet Dog. Inly 1 to the winner so everyone else in the game hates them. Winner can enter the dog into the Dog Fight Comp the next month, in which case his dog kills itself in the pit because there are no other dogs to fight.

- Dump Competition. The player that throws away the most valuable item wins a xanax. Rewards: the player that finds the best item gets fedded.

- Cannibis OD Comp. OD on weed or get fedded. Reward: A personal message from Chedburn, "F U."

- Great Depression Comp. Community tries to crash the stock market. Reward: Ched permanently burns fown rehab.

- Guessing Game. Tell all players to try and equip the secret combination of armor and weapons to unlock a full suit of new, special armor. Reward: Loincloth of Subsatisfaction with 0 armor rating.

- Help the Noobs Comp. Send gifts to new players to help them. Reward: anyone that sent or received anything during the comp gets fedded. F'n multies.

- Russian Roulette Tourny. This could be fun but I'll just make sure it's really broken somehow. Reward: lots of unannounced downtime.
