Signs of alien life???

"She was talking to the New Scientist about KIC 8462852, a distant star with a very unusual flickering habit. Something was making the star dim drastically every few years, and she wasnt sure what."


"... the star in question is about 1,481 light-years away from Earth meaning that even if aliens did create a giant solar panel complex out there, they did so in the 6th century, while we were emptying chamber pots out of second story windows and fighting off the first bubonic plague pandemic.

The article I posted does point out the unlikeliness of it being aliens, lol. But what fun, and how many people would care if all it said was:

Unusual flicker of star found.

I actually think this is really interesting, especially considering the VERY slim chance that there might be alien life somewhat close to us. Thank god they haven't found us yet, or we'd be toast. Or glassed, depending on the aliens.

Or we are them...
