If their networth is 8million doesn't mean they have 8million on hand. When you mug, your booty is a % of what they have currently on hand.
The networth represents a persons entire wealth, including items etc. that you can't mug. The only thing you can mug is a % of what they carry in hand. Furthermore, even if they were holding $8,000,000 in their hand, if they were mugged recently you would get a lot less from mugging them, as there is a mug 'cooldown'.
Sounds like you mugged someone with 8mil on hand. Chances are they were mugged sometime recently and you are a victim of mug cooldown.

Mugging players at your level is a waste of energy and uncertain at best (as most players at your level hold minimal cash), much better to both train and, the get paid to attack(slutting), look at the Attacking Forum Thread and get paid 150k - 450k+ per attack, use cash to upgrade Armours/Weapons/Bank. Try to train balanced at least 50% of your energy at minimum, better 75-100% with a DP. Join a faction for resources, Best of luck.

I'm worth over 100 mil but seldom have more than 200k on hand because most of that networth comes from items and properties I own. If you mugged me, the most you would get is about 10% of that, or 20k

One can dream but I bet he'd make your Torn Life hell until you gave it back if that was a thing, heh.
But you did bring up what makes it so ridiculous of an idea right there, it has way too much potential to take a high value item even if it was at a very low chance and could destabilize the economy if people start targeting other people for high value weapons and items.
