An employee's salary (if that's what your asking) isn't affected by their performance. However their contribution to the company is measured with those bolts (roughly), if they're only 2/5 then they're (roughly) only doing about 40% of what they could …

An employee's salary (if that's what your asking) isn't affected by their performance.
However their contribution to the company is measured with those bolts (roughly), if they're only 2/5 then they're (roughly) only doing about 40% of what they could potentially be offering.
More work stats is how you improve this... however if your bolts are low then that also relates to how much work stats you receive, being 2/5 (40% ish effectiveness) means you would only get roughly 40% of the stat gains it says you can gain daily.
