Citizens,
We've just released the first installment of the 'Unique weapons & armor' project. You will now notice that all weapons and armor have actual accuracy, damage and defensive values as well as empty slots for attachments and bonuses. These values have actually been active for a long time, we're just making them visible now.
To compare different weapons and armor, we suggest you view the individual item categories. For example, the 'Melee' category will list all of your melee weapons and their statistics.
- Every individual weapon and armor has slightly different statistics. For example, two AK-47s will be unique, one might have more damage, while another might have more accuracy. There's one AK-47 out there that's arguably the best, and one that's the worst.
- Having individual damage / accuracy / defensive values makes it easier to compare items. Previously we've always just had percentage bars.
- The plan is that we'll display these values everywhere including bazaars and item markets, but still use the percentage bars for global / generic information about the item. We'll be spending this week updating all 'drop down item info' areas to display these specific values, sorry if some appear ugly for now.
- We'll also very soon be launching a new 'add from inventory' system (when you add items from your inventory to your bazaar, display case, faction, item market, the dump etc). This should resolve all issues with slow load times when attempting to add many items at once, and it'll display the individual statistics of weapons and armour so you can make sure you're adding the correct one.
- This is just a precursor for a far bigger plan. Following this, we plan to launch the special ammunition, weapon attachments, and then finally special versions of weapons and brand new armor sets found in weapon & armor caches.
Thanks.
