    The way to go would be with a city watch style app that can then launch your browser and log you in, just like the current desktop version does, whilst providing real time notifications

why don't you make apps of this game for any mobile devices, quite hard actually have to open browse. internet quite lag. thanks.

Because why would an app be any faster? Its still connecting to the internet... Sorry to break it to you but if your Myanmar cyber cafe internet is slow to load torn it will be slow to load an app too...

The main reason is cost and functionality... What's the point in making an app when the site is designed for mobile devices on any platform? Why spend so much extra money to make an app for less platforms that will have to require extra expense for constant updates... Every time any minor change is made to the site the apps will need updating... Any time the phone OS gets updated same again... All extra money and time that is pointlessly spent when the mobile optimised site itself can be updated once and worm on every single device, mobile or otherwise...

An "app" would be a great addition for ched and torn in general. It would have nothing to do with speed of the site or anything like that. The reason an app would be good is that it would allow Torn to piggy back on the marketing of Apple or Google. An app would allow torn to jump from a 500k a year company to a 10mil+ company. It would have to be changed and most likely would not be able to be completely text based but would still be a great benefit in my opinion.

It mainly comes down to the fact though if ched wants to take the big money risk of investing in an app and having the chance of it not catching on. It would take quite a bit of money to start up but I believe it would vastly improve the amount of people in the game.

I really see no reason why an app has not been developed yet with that being how the mobile gaming trend has been going for some time. I see no downside.

This! I've been asking for a city watch app forever, but nobody seems to listen! All I want is an app to send me little cute pings whenever my energy/nerve is full, whenever my drug cooldown is up, whenever I receive an event or mail... You guys need to do some research on internet accessibility. Most of us use our phones or tablets to access the internet. It's 2016, we move like crazy. We don't get as much time in front of the computer anymore.

Give us a city watch app!
