Do you only get 1 per battle or is there a way to equip more then one or to refill while attacking?

go to attack settings (from the gear icon at top left) and there you have option to re-quip temp weapon automatically after fight. So if you have say a 100 tear gas items, and you use one, then in next fight you will see tear gas equipped again automatically.
However you can only use one temp weapon per fight.

you can also get the sports education, wich lets you use kicks, and are counted as a temporary if you have no weapon on the slot
Nope, you cannot reload temps during combat.
Besides, it's really difficult to pick up another trout while shooting someone;)
How about carrying a trout and a flamethrower....get hungry in the fight have a snack.
