multiple accounts

Hi,
my brother was thinking of signing up to torn and as we share the same I.P address would that be breaking the rules if he did? Or would our two accounts only be punished if we help one another in anyway? I want to do it to recruit and get merit for it however scared my account would be deleted if i do ... has anyone else been in this position?

You should have no problem, see the announcements on this:

If you're one of two or more people living in the same household or on the same IP address, you have absolutely nothing to worry about and now have total freedom to interact and trade in whatever form you like: you will not be banned. Just make sure neither of you have access to or use (in any way) each other's accounts.

yeah i read that but it still threatens about you having fake accounts and being banned.. is this just dangerous and likely to end in deletion?

The rules are pretty straightforward, don't use an account that is not yours, don't create a second account. If a family member is genuinely playing and it is not you, then you have nothing to worry about.

take a picture with your bro and both of you hold your name and ID written on paper. Upload it in user pictures. Then you have evidence on Torn.

I've never known that to help. People can get their football team mates around to hold up bits of paper, doesn't prove anything.

the best way is to skype them, ask them questions about their profile and the game, I wouldn't take long to figure out if they play or not
