Xanax gives you 250e. (250 energy.) It sets your drug cooldown timer to a random amount in the 6 to 8 hour range. (No more drug use until the timer ends.) It gives you a fairly steep decrease in all your combat stats until that same timer ends. And it adds a small amount of addiction. If you use it regularly, then after a few days to a week, you'll have to rehab or you'll start getting problems (kicked from edu, lowered combat stats, etc) due to the addiction.
There is about a 2.5% chance of an overdoese. If you OD, it's several days of hospital time (most people get a revive to fix this), an increase in your addiction level (roughly double what you usually gain), and all happiness drops to zero.
Rehab in Switzerland can remove your addiction, and restore your happiness.
