is there any law in torn that forbid to hire people to bump threads for money?
like hiring someone and paying him for bumping a thread

so lets say i want someone to bump my thread each day in suggestion thread and im paying him x amount each day,its allowed?

I am the genius responsible for getting that suggestion implemented, i even had a thread in the suggestions forum and it got a bazillion thumbs up and lots of people agreeing with me :P

Its somewhere in the old forums many years ago.

The forums where not a pretty sight before it was banned.

It needed banning. At the time the trade forums where lagged up with lots of spot faced scammer multies with their scamvestment threads complete with paying for thumbs up and lots of sheep bleating about being scammed as well.
That was the reason i made the suggestion but the spottyness was present in other areas of the forum as well.

I agree paying for votes is illegal however what rule is it where you are not allowed to pay for someone to bump your thread? I think you are mistaken.

It's only illegal if you get caught.

Dunmugmeh has the ball on this one. If you recall, in the past there were umpteen million threads in trading that were paying for bumps and uprates. This was BKE(before karma era).


I am certain that some clever person will be able to pull the relevant announcement out...
