Did hunting just get nerfed? I was getting .012 per time within the past bit and now I'm getting half that. Yes, I know about the diminishing returns. This one just happened overnight.

I don't think it was nerfed. I thought hunting is like racing, you get less and less return the more you gain.

But I could be wrong, I've been wrong before. Just today I disagreed with my wife, and I was wrong. I don't remember what I was wrong about, but I know I'll be reminded. I have to learn to stop being wrong.

Like I said, I'm familiar with the diminishing returns aspect. I'm at 78+ now so I've experienced that pain for a while now. It just seems it changed from barely anything to next to nothing overnight.

Yep, the gains just cut in half out of nowhere.
Or as I like to think of it, at the same pre-determined spot that it happens for every single person (thanks for putting this on GD instead of questions, so I can be snarky).
It's gonna do that a couple more times. Then it's gonna drop by 80%.

Exactly. Here's a quote from deeagraw [1757281] that I found on the Q&A forum so that OP wouldn't have to, and it sums it up quite nicely:

Yes. Hunting skill gain drops by 50% at 79, 89 and 94. It drops by 80% at 98.
At Hunting skill 79, you are almost 19.3% done on the way to 100,

So if OP thinks it's bad now, he should stop hunting. Because this part is still a picnic.

Im at 99.4 summat and get 0.00025 per hunt (might be 0.0025) now lol I'm not sure of the exact figure but I know its low low low :( lol

Hmm, this makes it not seem so bad if you have a farm and wait. less than 200 trips. Of course there's still the matter of the wasted energy.

Any idea how much energy it is to 50 or 75? I may go for it while finishing my travel merit cause farm.

Also hunting isn't as bad as it used to be for those that intend to be long term flower runners, still make the same per time traveled with flower/plushies plus the hunting profits. So long as the person is profit driven rather than combat driven.

Looks like this answers my question. Thanks for the info.

Guess that's the end of hunting for me. Not a chance I'm going to be doing 5x what I've already done. Much better uses of energy.

Dont just sit in Africa hunting that is gormless.
travel backwards and forwards everyday so you can click crimes and train in the gym and sell the xanax/flowers/plushies you buy.

Before i restarted i got to hunting skill 100/100. Best way i think was to join a meat warehouse for skill gain, and taking at least 1 xanax with a full energy bar before flying.
It takes the edge off lol.

still it took forever, but definitely not as long. Paid halfway decent too.
