Do they stack?
I'd assume so merits are modifying the Base awareness where as the job special is just a multiplier
Yes. The 50% awareness special boosts your current awareness by 50%. So I suppose it's as if you have 15 merits in awareness instead of 10, to put it into perspective.

The company specials have to stack or there is no point in working for a company :P
I have a job special that boosts my strength on top of all the other things which boosts my strength so yes they do stack.
