This is intended, target player will not get an event or cake - it's just to complete the mission task.

  • Bake or acquire a Fruitcake
  • Use the Cake Frosting and Lock-picking Kit with the fruitcake
  • Send the Special Fruitcake to anyone who's in jail
I asked my spouse to self jail to which she did

You sent a Special Fruitcake to Lil_Grim_Reaper with the message:

But she has not recieved an event, and it is not in her items list please fix this.

Buy a fruitcake from the market, follow all the steps. No you don't get to keep it at the end.

You can just fail the mission it wont hurt you that much if you cannot afford the 2m.
