    Inactive Director is BS...They say it will happen but it doesn't. Prime example.... http://www.torn.com/joblist.php#!p=corpinfo&ID=57731 Director has been inactive for 625 days. Most of his crew inactive as well...Yet they lose NO stars.

    mechanic shop sell services, only stock is tyre, and their warehouse must be loaded by the looks of it. plus they've got a manager. also there isn't that much functioning mechanic shop in torn... that setup can actually run autonomously

    Yup, 1 reason would be if you were messing around with advertising and accidently set it to 0 collapsing your weekly takings... Hangs head in shame...

mechanic shop sell services, only stock is tyre, and their warehouse must be loaded by the looks of it. plus they've got a manager. also there isn't that much functioning mechanic shop in torn... that setup can actually run autonomously

My rating just went down from 9 stars to 8 stars.

I have been active every day and not run out of stock. Only difference is I have lost two good employees recently and only replaced with one not as good one... not for lack of trying. I didn't realize ratings could go down even when active, this is very disappointing.

What am I supposed to do to compete for employees? I guess this is a rhetorical question. Torn makes it very hard for non-TV companies to retain any decent help. I already lose money because even when the furniture store is doing its best, it makes a little over $1m daily, but I pay out more than that for stock, advertising, pay, and trains.

@Tarelli, I know the feeling. Done that once or twice. I've also accidently set price to 0 too. :P



Here are some other ways that may decrease star rating:

- losing staff

- inactive staff

- adjusting prices, advertising (as mentioned)

- not using all your trains each day (yes, it does!)

- drug addiction of staff

- running out of stock therefore not much to sell

- competition is pricing you out of the market - i.e. More advertising, better price, more stock in stockroom.

- selling less product

I feel that losing money everyday, like Vernunzio stated is the number 1 reason for a lost star. I did an experiment, bout this bout a year ago, i lost money (on Purpose) and i did lose a star, from 10 to 9. I then went back to making money and got the star back...all due to what Tarelli said bout messing around with adver and kill yur sales.

The biggest reason I lose money is employee wages. People have said that employee wages do not effect rating. I don't know for sure one way or the other, just letting you know what people have told me.

Again there's no way for most companies to compete for employees against the select few companies that either make decent money or have the best specials. Furniture even has pretty good specials but still hard to find employees.
