Hey y'all, so my friend and I write poems, sometimes together, sometimes alone. This is one she wrote alone, I was wondering what y'all thought. (If you get touchy about Jesus or God, leave now, we are both Christians and it is bound it appear in our writing.)

Ink in the soul:
Writing is a desperate need
So hard to plant the fatal seed
The other voices I will not heed

Baring my soul in blackest ink
My dreams I must not let sink
I'm not afraid of reaching a brink

I will run and dive into the unknown
World must know more can be shown
From a small seed a tree can be born

Yes, writing is a desperate need
Even stronger than human greed
Passion in my words you must heed

In my hand God placed a pen
Asked then me to use it for him
Inspire the flame to rise again

*Note by author:
I and others wrote these poems ourselves for this page. Feel free to share with friends and family. The purpose of out writing is to encourage and build up others. As I wrote in this poem, to inspire the flame to rise again. Constrictive criticism is welcomed, if that be about the structure and form, or the actual content. I am always willing to learn and improve.

It's interesting.

I particularly like the title: Ink in the soul
And I like the last verse :)

The style or structure of 3 rhyming lines isn't something I'm fond of but that's just personal preference, no reflection on the poem.
I don't like the fourth verse. It's repetitious and I don't like it.

I would read more of this poet/author's work. I find it interesting enough.

Don't take my criticism seriously because I'm not a poet, writer or anyone special. I just like what I like and I don't mind saying why. :)
