So i rented a palace because it has a vault.but i cant use the vault. is it because i only renting that property? oor do i need to buy my own property to be able to use a vault?

You can't use vault in rented property. You need to own the property to use vault.
As deeagraw said, you can't use a vault in rented property. If you wish to use a vault, you will have to buy one with a vault.
Or marry someone that has a vault and is willing to share that vault with you.
