yes i realize you said your new to this ..but placing cropped bits of images from the internet into a circle shape is not the best way to start, especially as the first one you link to could be considered "ripping" as the image you have used is someone else's work.

If artwork is like code (and i think it is) I might be able to elaborate.

This article is pretty conservative in its views and for good reason. Whether you're allowed to sell a piece online or not or whether you're even allowed to use an image depends on what kinda license the original artists uploads their art under. Some licenses allow commercial usage without attribution but there's many that don't.

Most images aren't uploaded with licenses. When that happens we have to be conservative about it as we don't know whether we're allowed to use it or not.

Regardless of license or unlicensed, reselling someone else's work with little modification will usually piss someone off.

See this:

I'd say doing what you did here is akin to someone cloning the gimp and then turning the GUI to blue and trying to sell it off.

Note:

While you should not try to sell these, don't sweat it too much. No one's gonna track you down and try to fine you for copy right infringement over torn money. Thing is though, if you do manage to sell something and it later comes out that the images were illegally used whoever you sold it to is gonna be pissed. Now they've paid you for art they can't legally use.
