never in my time on torn have i actually worried about my working stats. please, explain to my why you think they matter so much.

Working stats take time to build up.

If you want them faster you adapt your playing strategy two ways spring to mind :

1.Go into the starter education job.

2. Buy trains.

Note : You are in unrelenting the game more or less is handed to you as it is.

in my first year I found difficult to reach 10k INT even if I was willing to pay for trains...

I think that for new players one of the easiest ways to increase intelligence is filling the confectionist position in a sweet shop

The game isn't meant to be a walk in the park, oil rigs/TV companies are high end companies, you shouldn't be in one within a year basically.. this game is basically like the real world, you don't leave school and expect to become a CEO for instance, you start at the bottom and work your way up.

Cant Hank or Nash just make you a script for it ?

just like everything else in torn, the more TC$ you spend, the faster they will improve, buy your way to an oil rig and pay for 10 daily trains and you will get the fastest working stat gains (highest stat requirement, highest stats gained per day)

Torn is a game of patience....
