Ok so just one thing what is the point of the happy bar, does it effect anything whether it is full or empty?

Ok so just one thing what is the point of the happy bar, does it effect anything whether it is full or empty?
The more happy you have, the more gym gains you get.

As a new player you'll want to at least rent out a Palace [Castle/ Private island would be better] if you can.... The kicker is the Palace allows you to afford it by buying crappy items from the city and selling them to other players for a bit of profit... we're talking ~40-60k a day which is peanuts really, but will easily get you over 5 X the stat gains when your happy is full.
From the Help files (at top of page, click on link to the right of the Torn icon):
- Happiness has a fairly important impact on game play. Your happiness increases when you progress with your housing, whether this is by hiring new staff or moving to a new property all together. Happiness has an effect on how much stats you will gain at the gym, having a higher happiness will increase your base gym gain. Happiness also affects crime success rate, so ensure that you have a higher happiness level when committing crimes. You can increase your happiness by various company specials. The most notable way to restore a happy bar back to its full level is by flying to Switzerland and rehabilliting costing $250,000. Other than that you are able to use an Erotic DVD which increases your happiness by 2500. (Note, there are also several other smaller items which increase happiness) The maximum happiness you can have at any one time is 99,999 which grants the player with an honour bar. You are able to go over your base happy but please note your happiness doesnt stay like that, it will return to its maximum base rate at xx:15 xx:30 xx:45 and xx:00.
