I'm kinda worried about my current financial status. I see that most people near my level have a way bigger networth then me. Who knows this my just be my friends. But anyways if anyone could give me some tips that would be awesome.

That's level you block head! You should focus more on their age as people can commit the act of level holding.
You need to rent a Private Island. Look for a PI with 3700 happy, no need to pay more for the ones with higher happy. Rent for the longest period you can afford, whether that's 7 days or 100.
You are already level 16. Level 15 or higher means you can travel. Basic travel just lets you carry 5 items, but using a PI to travel will increase that by +10, bringing you to 15 items. Once you can afford it, buy a large suitcase, for an additional +4 boost, bringing you to 19 items. Faction upgrades can let you carry more, depending on the faction, and a max of +10 more.
Once you have a PI, fly overseas, buy flowers or plushies, fly home, sell them. A large amount of the Torn economy revolves around this process. The people who buy them (lots of people will be happy to) will turn in full sets for 10 points, and sell the points.
Flying for flowers/plushies can easily make you $3M profit a day, and often more for people who are active.
Before you fly, check travelrun, so you can try and avoid traveling someplace that has no flowers or plushies in stock. Most other items make little or no money. If you land someplace that has no flowers or plushies, usually your next best bet is to look for temporary weapons. (Grenades.)
