I wanted to keep it factual and non opinionated in the bugs and issues thread: https://www.torn.com/forums.php#!p=threads&f=19&t=16017993
I thought I'd come out here to raise a lil' awareness on how a group of a few hundred exploiters are in the process of stealing the elimination event from the 9,000+ other players.
With double the attacks other teams and nearly 1/10th of their members in the same faction (meaning a sizable chunk of their team can share resources and communication like no other teams can), PP is going to roll over every one else.
Nice to be part of such a fiasco.
"Join the elimination" they said...
"It'll be fun" they said...
"You'll meet new people" they said...
"One team will exploit, ruin it all, and suffer no consequences" they... wait... wut? [:tired:]
It's not enough to be in a top 10 faction. It's not enough to have billions in stats. Nope, gotta manipulate crap and then act like it's no big deal.

Here's what I put in the bugs and issues thread:
Issue: Nearly an entire faction abused the gender change function to bypass the elimination events team randomization process.
Supporting facts:
- 87 out of 100 faction members are in the Pink Power elimination team.
- Many of those members were not female before the competition and/or have already switched back to male gender.
- Of those faction members, 6 are in the teams top 10 and account for over 1,600 attacks.
- The affected team has nearly double the attacks of most other teams.
- If actual randomized picks had been assigned the max number from any faction should have been more in the 15-20 range.
- There are many more examples of gender switching to manipulate game results but nearly an entire faction breaking game rules is the most egregious example.
- Having almost 1/10th of your elimination team in the same faction is a huge advantage because of the shared communication and resources that other teams do not have.
- Remove the offending team.
- Very negative impact to those that chose that team fairly.
- Remove players who abused the randomization system from the elimination event.
- Write a script to search for trends in gender changes prior to the event and/or changes back after the event started.
- Labor intensive and may be difficult to find (planning appears to have been made far in advance).
- Reset the competition and remove the gender specific team choice.
- Big impact to players that have already devoted time and energy to the competition so far.
With almost double the attacks of most teams, the exploited advantage is very apparent. Subtle changes in scoring or scoring caps cannot make up for that imbalance.
- Removing the offenders impacts only those players (eidt: it also impacts the rest of the team that aren't exploiters).
- Removing the affected team impacts 1,000 players.
- Doing nothing affects 9,100 players.
From the Torn Rules page
(https://www.torn.com/rules.php):
BUG / EXPLOIT ABUSE: Game ban
Although every aspect of Torn is tested strenuously before release, unintentional exploits are sometimes possible. Every action and gain in Torn is logged with timestamps often going back years in the past, so exploiting a bug / glitch / hack is impossible to get away with. If you find an abusable exploit, do not share it with others. Report it to the developers immediately - you'll be rewarded for your discovery. Continuing to abuse an exploit without reporting it will result in account deletion.
