I know it's in the US. But given the weather in the region that Torn seems to be at when I fly, it made me curious. Especially with the rivers that go through it and the private islands.

Given the background that TC used to be part of the US but isn't anymore, yet we travel to Mexico, did the borders change with Torn's creation?

Just curious and figured we could use a drama break. So share your geography thoughts please!

This is General Discussion. You're only allowed to post about Pink Power and Duke at this time.

In all seriousness Torn is supposedly in Texas US but is actually its own country.

based on flight times, it's supposed to be in Texas. based on the number of surrounding private islands, it's a trash barge off the coast of Texas, where each private island is it's own pile of trash floating in the water. based on my own theory, it doesn't actually exist, nor do we, it's citizens, and this is all just a figment of Ched's imagination, who himself is locked in a padded cell.

I nominate you for writer of the Torn version of the Twilight Zone :)

It's just odd because nowhere in Texas seems to match with the city layout map of rivers and the like.

Torn is like Narnia, don't exist at the same dimension as the rest of the world. The portal to it is in the sky over Texas, so planes can come and go. Instead of the lion, the witch and the wardrobe we have Ched, Duke and Leslie! How cooler can it get?

I guess it could be some sort of weird cult they all belong to. Lop off one finger at the harvest festival as a sign of devotion to their god? It's sort of like when we get shot by Duke's RPG

As a proud resident of Texas, yes, Torn is here.

Horrible crime, everyone has a gun and drugs, race track, corrupt politicians, shitty sports teams...

We call it "Dallas."
