A way to get kids and/or pets to raise or a way we can make a family. I don't know just like to see that since we do have wives and jobs.

I have a Real Life wife and that is a challenge enough... I come to torn to get away from that sort of shit.

Please nice idea but no wife's......

Make some kids have ADHD!

Bonus - Energy replenishes 5% faster

Downside - Need to log in game 20 times a day or they'll damage your PI !

I thought a game raising kids and seeing how they turn out to be fun. Making different decisions and seeing the outcome is fun to me.

Well considering a bunch of them were killed in a crossfire of a gang shootout, and dogs were taken out because they were used in dog fights and very few people could actually keep them alive, I don't see this happening.

However the game needs some serious diversification in it's role playing aspect.

Should just play the sims then if you want to go the family route, torn is not the place for that. Dogs used to be a thing but will never return so best just give up on that pipe dream.

There is a crime to steal from a kid I believe, so unless crimes 2.0 removes this, technically children are in the city. Some suggestions:

Children Timing:

- Like marriage, both players need to be online at the same time to participate in conception of a child.

- They must be married for 50 days before children can be considered.

- Each child takes 270 days to conceive. (Roughly 9 months)

- Only one child can be conceived at a time, no twins.

Children Positives:

- Each child gives a 500 happy increase if both parents live in the same property (250 if not.)

- You can spend time with your child (25e) for a happy temporary boost.

- You can vacation with your family (250e) to refill all your happiness after an OD.

Children Negatives (some options)

- Each child costs you $10,000/day (it's Torn).

- During a pregnancy there will be a low chance every day of a large happiness decrease (wife isn't happy.)

- Occassional events from your child requiring more money for something, like $50,000 for swimming lessons.

Divorce

- If divorced the happiness increase per child drops to 100.

- The cost per child remains $10,000/day but both parents have to pay $10k.

- Divorcing while pregnant means the child will go up for adoption when born. Both parents receive a perma 500 happiness DECREASE.

Pets

Adopt a single guard dog as long as you *own* a home. After adoption fees, shots and a trainer the cost of a dog is $20M or so.

Positives (options)

- 25 happiness increase for your property.

- Play with your guard dog (5e) for a nerve boost (5). This is an e for n exchange for players looking to maxamize their crimes since the game is supposed to have a crime path. Would be more beneficial for crimes 2.0.

- 100% protection against dog poop and TP assaults. Assailant gets mauled and sent to the hospital.

Negatives:

- Initial cost.

- If you move out of a property you own and into one you're renting or into a home a spouse owns, your dog moves to your shack. Landlords don't want pets and you can not double dog a property as the dogs don't get along. This means only the property owner can utilize a dog.

PS. You should put some of this thought out concept into your original post. Otherwise your suggestion is dead in the water.
