Does an apprentice bring company efficiency down?
In theory yes because sales clerks are better at producing income.
Use the apprentice position to raise someone' stats if they are under sakes clerk requirements.
A low stat apprentice will do better than a low stat sales worker. But a high stat sales worker will be better than a high stat apprentice.
You can also do better with at least one apprentice if you've already got a lot of sales, as their decay will result in each one being less and less effective.
But you'd be better with more sales workers than apprentices, their decay rate will be much higher for multiples as it is detrimental to the company to be training up lots of newbies all at once.
