what are the best weapons in the game
That is debatable, but the best value melee weapons are either a macana (100k ish) or a diamond bladed knife (950k approx) Both have good accuracy & damage.
If you have a good melee weapon, you don't need a fancy rifle just yet. The Armalite rifle is very popular due to its accuracy & damage levels.
Of course there is the Gold Ak 47, but it's something like $25Bn :)
