Just got news from my good friend Vajsan that his shitty faction is splitting up due to constant disagreements about specials, strong leadership... members have been leaving and returning to their old factions
This is what happens when 2 dog shit factions merge, it lasted like 3 months or some shit lmao
The truth is in games like this that the best leadership model is a dictatorship. Everybody wants decision making to be communal, but that more often than not results in drama. If you have a really welll established faction you can get away with having a leadership council, but even then, there needs to be 1-2 dictators at the top making the call after receiving input from the council.
Anything could work as long as there is strong communication and member buy-in. Usually when factions fall apart they have neither and the merged result doesnt magically fix this
The merge was pretty pointless considering it was like 2 factions moving into 1 while being segregated. The long-time members just clashed over power struggles and those that did join never even talked.
Unsure of why it lasted so long, but it was worth a shot.
For me when I first heard of the merge I was shocked felt FM was heading in a good direction the merge set them back FTW was dying they panicked made a decision to try and merge got lucky :P
Be curious to see where FTW goes from here I bet Nova has tabs on them xD
